How to set up Slack notifications for new leads in Pipedrive

Relay.app is an automation tool that lets you automate actions across Pipedrive, Slack, and many other apps. In this guide, we'll show you how to use Relay.app to automatically run the SlackSend message” action for each PipedriveLead added” event.

1

Add the Pipedrive trigger to initiate your playbook's actions

To set this up, open your playbook and click "Add trigger." Next, select the "Lead added" trigger from the available options in Pipedrive. By doing so, your playbook will automatically detect any newly added leads and take the necessary actions.

If you still need to connect your Pipedrive account to Relay, don't worry. A prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the “Send message” in Slack step

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure prompt message notifications are sent for new Pipedrive Leads.

Select "Add step," then locate the "Send Message" automation for Slack, and input the relevant details, such as the sender, the Slack channel for the notification, and the message body containing deal details.

If your Pipedrive account isn't connected to Relay, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay to send messages through your Slack account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step to automate Pipedrive lead updates through Slack. Once you turn it on, the playbook automatically responds to the new Pipedrive deals by sending notifications without manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button in the header. Before starting it, we recommend running a test to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together and the messages are sent correctly.
