Add the Mailchimp trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and initiates your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "New subscriber" under Mailchimp. Then, select the specific audience you'd like to monitor. If this is your first time using a Mailchimp integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Mailchimp account.

Now, your playbook will automatically run whenever there's a new subscriber in Mailchimp.

2

Add the Slack Send message automation

Now you can set up an action to send a message in Slack. Add a new step and select "Send message" from the list of Slack automations.

Connect Slack to Relay if you haven't already, then specify the inputs such as the Destination channel and Message. You can reference data from the new Mailchimp subscriber to automatically include relevant information in your message.

3

Turn on the playbook

When you have completed setting up the playbook, it's time to activate it.

The playbook will now operate on its own each time a new subscriber is added to Mailchimp. You also have the option to click "Check now" to manually initiate a check whenever you'd like.
