Set the ClickUp trigger as "Task created"

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Task created" under ClickUp. Then, select the list in which tasks are created. This will allow your playbook to automatically detect the task created in ClickUp and initiate necessary actions.

If this is your first time using a ClickUp integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your ClickUp account.

2

Add the "Send message" in Slack automation

Integrate the Slack automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt sending of message in Slack as a notification for each task created in ClickUp.

Select the "Add step" button, then locate the "Send message" automation for Slack and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Slack account isn't already connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Slack account.

3

Activate your Relay.app playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate the sending of messages in Slack. Once turned on, it will respond to new tasks created in ClickUp by sending a new message in Slack as a notification without manual intervention

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are being sent correctly.
