Add the Google Drive "File added to folder" trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "File added to folder" under Google Drive. Then, select the parent folder where files are added. This trigger will automatically detect all the new files added to the Google Drive folder to move a card in the Trello card.

If this is your first time using a Google Drive integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Google Drive account.

2

Add the Trello "Move card" automation

Integrate the Trello automation into your playbook to ensure the card in Trello is promptly moved for every new file added to Google Drive. Add a new step and select "Move card" from the list of Trello automations.

Connect Trello to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Google Drive to automatically pass along the right data.

3

Turn on the playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate moving the Trello card for every file added to Google Drive. Once turned on, it will respond to every new file added to Google Drive by moving the Trello card without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are sent correctly.
