Add the Gmail "Label added" trigger

Every playbook starts with a trigger. The trigger detects changes in your connected apps and runs your playbook in response.

Click "Add trigger" and select "Label added" under Gmail. Then, select the label. This trigger will automatically detect all the specified labels added in Gmail to share the specific Google Docs.

If this is your first time using a Gmail integration in Relay, you'll be prompted to connect your Gmail account.

2

Add the Google Docs "Share document" automation

Integrate the Google Docs automation into your playbook to ensure the Google Docs are promptly shared for every specific label added in Gmail. Add a new step and select "Share document" from the list of Google Docs automations.

Connect Google Docs to Relay if you haven't already, then fill out the mandatory and relevant details. You can reference fields from Gmail to automatically pass along the right data.

3

Turn on the playbook

Activating your playbook is the final step to automate sharing the specific Google Docs for every specific label added in Gmail. Once turned on, it will respond to the detected added label in Gmail by sharing the specific Google Docs without manual intervention.

To enable your playbook, click the toggle button located in the header. It is advisable to perform a test run of your playbook beforehand to ensure all steps work seamlessly together and reminders are sent correctly.
