1

Set the Linear trigger as “New issue added”

Add the Linear trigger to your playbook to initiate actions when a new issue is added.

To do this, click "Add trigger" in your playbook. Select the "New issue added" trigger option from the dropdown menu under Linear. It will enable your playbook to automatically identify newly added issues and trigger necessary actions.

If you still need to connect your Linear account to Relay.app, a prompt will guide you through the connection process.

2

Add the “Create task” step in Asana

Integrate the Asana automation into your playbook to ensure the prompt creation of new tasks in Asana for every new issue added in Linear.

Click the "Add step" button, then locate the "Create task" automation for Asana and input the mandatory and relevant details.

If your Asana account still needs to be connected to Relay.app, you will be prompted to complete that connection. Make sure to allow the necessary permissions for Relay.app to sync with your Asana account.

3

Activate your playbook

Activating your playbook is the last step in the process. Once you turn it on, it will automatically create new tasks in Asana from new issues in Linear without requiring manual intervention.

To activate your playbook, click the toggle button at the header. Before activating, we recommend performing a test run of your playbook to ensure all the steps work seamlessly together.
